"Outstanding Student in Marriage and Family Therapy Award"

Mr. Shawn Kell received the Kay Wilson Shurden Outstanding Student in Marriage and Family Therapy Award. The award is voted on each year by the Marriage and Family Therapy faculty. It is given to the graduating MFT student who has best displayed outstanding scholarship, leadership, clinical abilities, and commitment to the profession of Family Therapy. The recipient receives a plaque and monetary award.

Dr. Kay Wilson Shurden co-founded the Masters in Family Therapy Program at the Mercer School of Medicine together with Dr. Mary Anne Armour. Dr. Shurden and her husband Buddy, also on the faculty of Mercer, donated the funds to make this annual outstanding student award possible.
