RefWorks

Using RefWorks, researchers can: create personal reference databases by importing references from online databases or entering data; use these references in writing papers; and automatically format the paper and the bibliography. As a web-based product, RefWorks is available to users across various platforms including Windows, Mac, Unix, etc.

If you currently are using EndNote, Reference Manager, or ProCite, you can easily import those files into your RefWorks account.

For training on how to use the system, contact Anna Krampl in the Medical Library at x4144 or email reference.ill@gain.mercer.edu

Using RefWorks: To access RefWorks from within the Medical School, log on using the link below and follow these steps:

1. Sign Up for an Individual Account *
2. Enter the appropriate information (creates your personal login and password)
3. Click on Register to open the program
4. Begin using the RefWorks program

*As RefWorks allows individual users from the institution to create their own personal bibliographic database, each user will need to set up their own profile by creating a unique username and password.

To access Refworks from off-campus locations, you will need to enter the RefWorks Group Code before setting up your individual account. Call (301-4056) or email the Medical Library at reference.ill@gain.mercer.edu to get the Group Code.  Then follow the steps above to set up your account.

Access to RefWorks is limited to Mercer University School of Medicine faculty, staff and students.
