  1. Each P.I. at the School of Medicine who works with potentially infectious materials, known infectious agents, or recombinant DNA must comply with  the respective regulatory  standard.  For an overview see " A Review of Biosafety Standards."
  2. The P.I. must assure that any employees, students, or professional staff whom he or she  directs or supervises are trained in, have access to, and are in compliance with the applicable standard(s).
