Post Masters Certificate Program in Marriage and Family Therapy
The Post Masters Certificate Program is currently offered on the Macon and Atlanta campuses.
Applicants to the Post Masters Certificate Program in Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) must hold a master's or a doctoral degree in a helping profession, such as psychology, medicine, counseling, social work, or a related discipline.
Applicants to the post master's certificate program in Medical Family Therapy must hold a minimum of a master's degree in marriage and family therapy, social work, or counseling/counseling psychology; a Master of Divinity degree with a clinical emphasis; or Doctor of Medicine. Individuals with a minimum of a master's degree in an allied mental health area other than Family Therapy may be required to take additional master's-level coursework from the existing Master of Family Therapy curriculum prior to beginning either program.
The following items are required for completion of the application process:
- A completed Mercer University School of Medicine Graduate Application Form and a non- refundable fee of $50.00
- Official transcripts, sent directly from the college or university, for all college level work completed from an accredited college or university. An evaluative interview with the program's faculty is required prior to acceptance into the program.
