Post Masters Certificate Program in Marriage and Family Therapy (Macon & Atlanta)

The Post-Masters Certificate Program in Marriage and Family Therapy is currently offered on the Macon and Atlanta campuses.  To be eligible to apply,  one must hold a master's or a doctoral degree in a helping profession, such as psychology, medicine, counseling, social work, or a related discipline.  The minimum degree requirement to apply is a master's degree in marriage and family therapy, social work, or counseling/counseling psychology; a Master of Divinity degree with a clinical emphasis; or a Doctor of Medicine degree.  Individuals with a minimum of a master's degree in an allied mental health area other than Family Therapy may be required to take additional masters' level coursework from the existing Master of Family Therapy curriculum prior to beginning either program. 

Each of the following items is required for completion of the application process:

1. A completed Mercer University School of Medicine Graduate Application Form and a non-refundable fee of $50.00Go to Online Application.

2. An evaluative interview with the program's faculty is required prior to acceptance into the program.

3. Official transcripts, sent directly from the college or university, for all college level work completed from an accredited college or university to be sent directly from the corresponding institution(s) to: Mercer University School of Medicine Admissions Office via email at: admissions@med.mercer.edu (for electronic transcripts) or by regular mail to: Mercer University School of Medicine Admissions Office, 1501 Mercer University Dr, Macon, GA 31207.  (For FedEx or UPS deliveries, please use this address: 1550 College St, Macon, GA 31207).

4. Three letters of reference from college professors or other individuals who have taught or have supervised the work of the applicant.
