Psychology and Behavioral Sciences Collection
Containing more than 470 full-text journals, this database covers topics in emotional and behavioral characteristics, psychiatry & psychology, mental processes, anthropology, and observational and experimental methods. Off-campus requires GALILEO password.

PsycINFO
The American Psychological Association's PsycINFO database, with over 2,000,000 records, is the most comprehensive international database of psychology. It covers the academic research and practice literature in psychology from over 45 countries in more than 25 languages. PsycINFO includes relevant materials from related disciplines such as medicine, psychiatry, education, social work, law, criminology, social science, and organizational behavior. It provides indexes to journals, dissertations, book chapters, books, technical reports, and other documents from 1887 to the present. Some articles are available in full-text. Off-campus requires GALILEO password.

Academic Search Premier
Covers popular and scholarly journal articles with many full-text articles. Academic Search Premier provides information from a wide range of academic areas including business, social sciences, humanities, general academic, general science, education and multi-cultural topics. This multidisciplinary database features full-text for over 4,000 journals with many dating back to 1975, abstracts and indexing for over 8,200 scholarly journals, and coverage of The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times and The Christian Science Monitor. It also includes coverage of over 6,800 peer-reviewed journals. Off-campus requires GALILEO password.

ERIC
Educational Resources Information Center (ERIC) contains index and abstracts of articles, books, and documents covering all aspects of education and educational research and practice, including both published and unpublished sources on thousands of educational topics. It corresponds to the printed indexes of RIE (Resources in Education) and CIJE (Current Index to Journals in Education). This database is produced by the Office of Educational Research and Improvement (OERI), U.S. Department of Education. Off-campus requires GALILEO password.

Web of Knowledge provides high-quality content and the tools to access, analyze, and manage research information in the sciences, social sciences, and arts and humanities. Use Web of Science to perform cited reference searches, to find where an article or author has been cited; find articles that an article has cited; and identify more recent articles on the same topic. Access to Current Contents Connect allows you to browse a journal's table of contents for current and past issues; search the databases for published works by topic, author, address, journal, and more; and use the alerting option to have weekly updated results automatically e-mailed to you. You also have the capability of cross searching both of these databases. ISI HighlyCited.com gives you author biographies and bibliographies.

Health Source: Nursing/Academic Edition provides more than 400 scholarly full text journals focusing on many medical disciplines. Also featured are abstracts and indexing for over 500 journals. This product offering includes USP Pharmacopoeia DI: Volume II Advice for the Lay Patient and Stedman's Medical Dictionary. Off-campus requires GALILEO password.

Health Source: Consumer Edition
Health Source: Consumer Edition provides consumer oriented information on many health topics including the medical sciences, food sciences and nutrition, childcare, sports medicine, and general health. It includes searchable full text for over 150 consumer health journals, abstracts and indexing for nearly 175 general health, nutrition and professional health care publications, and thousands of essays covering eight major health related subjects, including adult health, behavioral health, cardiology, drug and medication information, pediatric health, senior health, women's health, and sports medicine. Off-campus requires GALILEO password.

Nursing & Allied Health Collection
This database contains 100 full text journals covering the areas of nursing, biomedicine, health sciences, consumer health and allied health disciplines. All full text journals contained in the database are also indexed in CINAHL. GaIN login required.

AAMFT--representing 23,000 marriage and family therapists in the United States, Canada, and abroad --is the professional organization for the field of MFT. Its website presents extensive information on MFT and includes listings of MFT graduate schools and state licensure boards.

Georgia Association for Marriage & Family Therapy
Georgia division of the AAMFT. Includes information on local conferences, continuing education classes, Georgia job opportunities, MFT licensure rules, and more.

Georgia Composite Board of Professional Counselors, Social Workers, and Marriage and Family Therapists
The Board is charged by law with regulating the practice of professional counseling, social work, and marriage and family therapy in order to protect the health, safety and welfare of the people of Georgia. It does so by enforcing the education and training requirements established by law for licensure in each profession, by adopting and enforcing a code of ethics governing licensees, by establishing and enforcing continuing education requirements, and by addressing unlicensed practice in these professions.

American Psychological Association - Division 43 (Family)
The Division's mission is to expand both the study and practice of Family Psychology, through education, research, and clinical practice, and application of systems theory to the ever-changing family unit. The website provides complimentary online access to The Family Psychologist (and its archives) and many other full text resources, as well as the listserv and searchable archives (free registration required.)

FamilyScholar
This website features a guide to graduate and undergraduate study in MFT; an annotated list of professional organizations; contact information for over 260 departments offering MFT programs; a database of over 2,100 faculty family scholars, with research interests; and a directory of 2,200 journals that publish family-related articles, with contact information.

The extensive list of Facts for Families, developed by the AACAP, provides concise and up-to-date information on issues affecting children, teenagers, and their families. "Facts" are available in Spanish and other languages.

American Counseling Association
Information written for consumers is available on topics such as ethics, finding a counselor, and dealing with a crisis.

American Family Therapy Academy -Resource Links
Provides links to other organizations in the field. Includes links to selected full text articles in the Journal of Family Psychology.

Council on Contemporary Families
Consisting of family researchers, mental health and social work practitioners, and clinicians, this group aims to enhance the "national conversation" about meeting the needs of contemporary families. Its website provides the name of experts on a wide array of family issues, as well as discussions, fact sheets, articles, and news items.

Child Welfare Information Gateway
Formerly the National Clearinghouse on Child Abuse and Neglect Information and the National Adoption Information Clearinghouse, the Child Welfare Information Gateway provides access to information and resources to help protect children and strengthen families. A service of the Children's Bureau, Administration for Children and Families, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Child Welfare promotes the safety, permanency, and well-being of children and families by connecting child welfare, adoption and related professionals as well as concerned citizens to timely, essential information. Access is given to print and electronic publications, the Children's Bureau Express Online Digest, websites, and online databases covering a wide range of topics from prevention to permanency, including child welfare, child abuse and neglect, adoption, search and reunion, and much more.

DIRLINE
DIRLINE (Directory of Health Organizations) is a national online directory of over 10,000 health-related organizations and other resources; contains link to Health Hotlines which has toll-free phone numbers to over 300 organizations.

MEDLINEplus
MEDLINEplus has extensive information from the National Institutes of Health and other trusted sources on over 500 diseases and conditions, including mental diseases. The premier consumer health resource, this pathfinder also includes lists of hospitals and physicians, a medical encyclopedia and dictionaries, health information in Spanish, extensive information on prescription and nonprescription drugs, health information from the media, and links to thousands of clinical trials. Psych Central
Includes directory of psychology and mental health online tools and information resources, as well as symptom lists of disorders. Also provides annotated guides to useful websites, newsgroups, and online mailing lists.

REHABDATA
REHABDATA, produced by the National Rehabilitation Information Center, is the leading literature database on disability and rehabilitation. The database describes over 65,000 documents covering physical, mental, and psychiatric disabilities, independent living, vocational rehabilitation, special education, assistive technology, law, employment, and other issues as they relate to people with disabilities. The collection spans 1956 to the present.

National Stepfamily Resource Center
The National Stepfamily Resource Center’s primary objective is to serve as a clearinghouse of information, resources, and support for stepfamily members and the professionals who work with them.
