Welcome to the Department of Pediatrics, Mercer University School of Medicine. The Department of Pediatrics trains residents as well as Mercer University School of Medicine third and fourth year medical students.
Dwaine & Cynthia Willett Children’s Hospital of Savannah, Southeast Georgia's only children's hospital, at Memorial University Medical Center offers critical care, neonatology, child abuse and neglect treatment, adolescent medicine, hematology/oncology, surgery, cardiology, infectious disease, neurology, ophthalmology, otolaryngology, and gastroenterology. Also available are community specialists in general behavioral pediatrics, child psychiatry, and immunology/allergy. Private attending pediatricians, surgical specialists, and visiting professors from affiliated institutions also take an active teaching role. Ambulatory pediatrics features child health and general pediatric clinics.
We strive to provide a structured environment in which each student acquires a basic knowledge of pediatric medicine as well as human growth and development.
