A graduate of the U. of Texas at Austin, Dr. Seale attended medical school at Baylor College of Medicine and completed his residency training in Family Medicine at the Medical Center of Central Georgia. He is certified in addiction medicine by the American Society of Addiction Medicine. He has worked as a medical missionary in the Philippines (1983-5) and Venezuela (1992-2000), and as Asst. Prof. of Family Medicine at the U. of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (1985-1991). His current research and teaching interests include alcohol abuse and behavioral interventions related to health habits modification. He serves as liaison for Mercer's affiliation with the Universidad del Zulia in Venezuela.
