Research Interest

Dr. Jones is interested in enhancing the educational experience by incorporating interactive activities and active learning strategies, such as Case-based Collaborative Learning (CBCL), Team-Based Learning (TBL), and gaming pedagogical strategies into the classroom to make the subject matter more engaging and improve retention. She also has substantial experience supervising student research in microbiology, particularly bacteriology. Her future research interests include medical education research, improving communication and wellness in educational environments, and educating and preparing health professionals and parents to support pediatric patients with special medical needs, including chronic and terminal illnesses.
