Research Opportunities for Graduate Students

Graduate Research OpportunitiesMercer University is offering a Master degree in Biomedical Sciences.  This program requires research under the supervision of a faculty member who is a member of the Department of Basic Medical Sciences (Macon) or the Department of Biomedical Sciences (Savannah).  This program will introduce our students into hypothesis driven research in the fields of genetics, molecular biology, biochemistry, cell biology, immunology, microbiology, or physiology.  Students who graduate from this program will establish skills in one or more of the following areas:

  • Cell Culture Techniques
  • Cell Sorting/Flow Cytometry
  • Cell Based Assays
  • Confocal Microscopy
  • Western Blot Analysis
  • Protein Purification and Analysis
  • Protein Crystallography
