Health Insurance
All students enrolled 3 or more hours during a semester are required to have health insurance. The University will automatically enroll students in a student health insurance plan and add a health insurance premium to their accounts during Fall and Spring semester. (Note that the Spring premium covers both Spring and Summer semesters.) Students may request additional loan funds to cover the cost of this premium. The premium is based on the student’s age on the first class day of the semester, as outlined below:
Age | Premium per Semester | Premium per Year |
< 25 | $ 1,334 | $2668 |
25 – 34 | $1,526 | $3052 |
35 – 44 | $2,288 | $4576 |
45 – 54 | $3,434 | $6868 |
55 – 64 | $5,154 | $10,308 |
Students who do not wish to participate in the school health insurance plan may waive the coverage by completing an online insurance waiver by the published deadline. Once alternate coverage is verified, the premium charge will reverse off the student’s account. If the waiver is not completed each semester by the published deadline, the student will be held responsible for payment of the non-refundable insurance premium. No exceptions are made to this deadline.
