Research Interest

Dr. Kim’s laboratory investigates the roles of a subcellular membrane-bound compartment called endoplasmic reticulum (ER) with emphasis on protein secretion and ER homeostasis. Dr. Kim’s research is implicated in a skeletal disease, osteogenesis imperfecta, and a skeletal muscle disease, nemaline myopathy.
