Bear Essentials
The Mercer School of Medicine Bear Essentials program is a student-led initiative created to support underrepresented students as they pursue a future in medicine. Our goal is to provide the resources, guidance, and encouragement needed for students to successfully apply to—and thrive in—medical school. While our focus is on mentoring underrepresented students, all students are invited to participate.
Throughout the year, we host a variety of events for high school and undergraduate students, offering key insights and hands-on experiences to help students take the next step toward a career in medicine.
