The overarching goal of this group is to help students gain a better understanding of palliative and hospice care and the overall benefits of comfort-based care on a patient’s physical and mental health and overall quality of life.

Street Medicine Interest Group

The mission of this group is to provide outreach and education to the local homeless population. With the guidance of physician volunteers and local charity organizations, medical students receive training in harm reduction and apply their knowledge in basic medical care to underserved and marginalized populations.

The School of Medicine’s student council consists of officers representing various interests and viewpoints of all students on all three campuses. The goal of the Council is to improve medical education and serve students’ professional, social, and personal interests. The Council meets monthly, and meetings are open to all.

AMA is an organization working to create a healthier future for patients by advocating for health accessibility and improvement in the nation.
